When we hear the word stewardship, we often think about finances, possessions, or responsibilities. But stewardship also applies to the greatest physical gift we have been given: our bodies.
At The Premier Life, we believe health isn’t about chasing the latest trend or searching for a quick fix. Your body was created with an incredible capacity to adapt, recover, and maintain balance. Our responsibility is to care for it well and create an environment that supports those natural processes.
What Does Stewardship Look Like?
Imagine being entrusted with a priceless piece of artwork. You wouldn’t leave it outside in the rain. You would protect it, maintain it, and treat it with care. Yet it’s easy to neglect the very thing that carries us through every moment of every day—our bodies.
Good stewardship isn’t simply about looking better, avoiding pain, or living longer. It’s about having the energy and capacity to be present with your spouse and children, serve your community, pursue your calling, and enjoy the life you’ve been blessed with.
A question to ask yourself is, “Am I caring for my body in a way that allows me to fully express the potential God has placed within me?”
Your Body Was Designed To Adapt
Think about what your body does every day:
You get a cut → your body begins repairing it.
You exercise → your body adapts & becomes stronger.
You rest → your body has an opportunity to recover.
As chiropractors, we believe in supporting the body’s ability to function and adapt. Chiropractic care is one piece of that process—alongside movement, nutrition, sleep, and other healthy habits. And just like exercise or nutrition, consistency with chiropractic care matters.
Potential Is Revealed Through Consistency
We often want a breakthrough right now. But meaningful change usually happens through the small decisions we make repeatedly: every good meal, workout, adjustment, extra hour of sleep, intentional moment of prayer or gratitude.
Individually, these choices may seem small. Over time, they can become powerful. Stewardship isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency.
Health Is The Vehicle, Not The Destination
Health isn’t the ultimate goal. It’s a tool that allows us to live more fully. It’s having the energy to play with your kids, the clarity to pursue your calling, the strength to serve others, and the presence to enjoy the people you love.
When we view health through the lens of stewardship, the question changes from: “What’s the least I can do to get by?” to “What can I do to better care for the gifts I’ve been given?”
Your Stewardship Challenge
This week, take a few minutes and ask yourself:
1. How am I caring for my body?
2. What habits are helping me express my potential?
3. What habits are holding me back?
4. What is ONE healthy choice I can make this week?
Stewardship isn’t about guilt. It’s about gratitude. Your body is a gift. Caring for it is one way of honoring that gift. Honor your body. Invest in your health. Pursue your purpose.
Your brother in Christ,
Dr. Gabriel M. Anastasio
