10 Keys to the New You

10 Keys to the New You

I have been reading a lot of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work lately. He is a neurologically based chiropractor whose main focus is the subconscious mind. Dr. Joe Dispenza's work revolves around the idea that our subconscious mind plays a crucial role in shaping our reality. The summary of most of his work is focused around changing our subconscious mind. By reprogramming our subconscious, we can break free from limiting beliefs, old habits, and patterns, and create new, empowering ones. Here is a list of principles that he teaches and practices.

1. Meditation

Meditation is a powerful tool for accessing the subconscious mind. Meditation allows us to quiet the mind, focus our attention inward, and break free from the constant flow of thoughts. By practicing meditation, we can enter a state where we can influence and rewire our subconscious.

One of the practices is through daily meditation to access the subconscious and begin the process of change. Visualizing a new future during meditation helps to "program" the brain and create new neural connections.

2. Mindfulness and Present Moment Awareness

The more aware you are in the present moment, the less power your old, subconscious habits have over you. Being mindful allows you to notice when you're falling into unconscious thought patterns and bring your attention back to the present. When you notice negative or limiting thoughts, interrupt them with a new, empowering thought or action. Use a rubber band around your wrist when you think or fall into old negative pattens and snap your mind back into the pre-sent and feel gratitude.

3. Reprogramming Beliefs

Our beliefs are stored in the subconscious mind and shape our reality. To change your life, you must change your beliefs, especially those that are limiting or self-sabotaging. A key tip to reprogramming your beliefs is by Identifying negative or limiting beliefs you hold about yourself, then consciously replace them with empowering beliefs. For example, replace "I'm not good enough" with "I am capable and deserving of success.”

4. Visualization

Visualization is a key technique in Dr. Dispenza's approach. By vividly imagining a desired future or outcome, you signal to your subconscious mind that it's possible and start to create new neural pathways. You need to visualize your goals as if they have already happened. Engage all your senses and emotions in the visualization to make it feel as real as possible. That is the key to accessing visualization!

5. Changing Your Emotional State

Our emotions are closely linked to our subconscious. If you're constantly in a state of stress, fear, or negativity, you're reinforcing old patterns. To reprogram your subconscious, you need to change your emotional state to one of joy, gratitude, and love. Practice elevating your emotional state by focusing on positive emotions such as gratitude, love, and joy. This will help you break the negative feedback loop and create new emotional experiences.

6. Intention Setting

Set clear, specific intentions for the future you want to create. According to Dr. Dispenza, setting intentions is a powerful way to direct your subconscious mind toward a specific goal or outcome. Each morning, set a clear intention for how you want your day to unfold. Focus on this intention throughout the day and align your actions with it.

7. Change Your Environment

The people and surroundings you interact with can reinforce your old subconscious patterns. To change, you must also shift your environment to one that supports your new beliefs and goals. Surround yourself with people who uplift and support your goals. Consider changing your physical environment, such as decluttering your space or creating an environment that aligns with your desired future. Remember, you are a byproduct of the 5 people you spend the most time with.

8. Repetition and Consistency

Repetition is key in reprogramming your subconscious mind. By consistently practicing new thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors, you begin to rewire your brain and make the new patterns automatic.

Key Tip: Make the practices of meditation, visualization, and emotional elevation part of your daily routine. The more you repeat these practices, the more your subconscious mind will accept the new patterns.

9. Living "As If"

To change your subconscious mind, Dr. Dispenza encourages you to begin living "as if" your desired outcome has already manifested. This means acting, thinking, and feeling as if you've already achieved your goals. Step into the identity of the person you want to become. For example, if your goal is to be confident, begin acting with confidence now, even if you don't feel it at first.

10. Neuroplasticity and the Power of Thought

Dr. Dispenza emphasizes the concept of neuroplasticity—how the brain can change and form new neural connections throughout our lives. This is how your nervous system changes through your repetitive adjustments!

By consistently thinking in new ways, we can rewire our brain and reprogram the subconscious mind. So, recognize the power of your thoughts. Every thought you think creates a neural pathway, so choose thoughts that align with the person you want to become.

Stick to these 10 habits and before you know it your reality changes.

Peace and love,

Dr. Mike
